Alaska Auto Transportation provides auto shipping to and from terminals in Anchorage and Fairbanks.

The mainland terminal that we use for our Alaskan auto shipments is in Tacoma, Washington. It is the main port where vehicles are being loaded/unloaded in the continental United States.

It is very worth it! If you plan to move to Alaska full time or just for an extended period of time, having your own car with you is incredibly helpful. You will save money by not having to find alternative ways to get around. Shipping your vehicle also saves you the time and money that you would lose by driving the vehicle yourself to Alaska.

We do require that you or a trusted representative is present at the pick-up and delivery locations.

The price of your auto shipping service will vary on a few factors. These factors are: if your vehicle is operable, what type of vehicle you have, what type of shipping you want for your vehicle, and where the vehicle is coming from/going to. When shipping your vehicle to Alaska, the cheapest auto shipping option would be open auto transportation for the land part of the shipment and Roll-On/Roll-Off auto transportation for the overseas part of the journey.

If your vehicle brakes, rolls, and steers we can ship an inoperable vehicle for an additional fee. For each vehicle, the conditions are different. We will need you to call us with further details and an explanation to determine the best way of handling your non-operable vehicle.

Less than ¼ tank of fuel – no exceptions. This is per U.S. Coast Guard regulation #176.905.
